This Osprey was out gathering nest building material and did not mind we were close to its nest. Such amazing and powerfull birds of prey!

A very brave Egret at Lake Berryessa,Ca. I was within 20 feet of this stealth hunter with a Canon 40D and a 300F/4L IS lens with 1x4 converter...no crop on this shot!
This Drake Mallard was in great light when I took this shot from Mike Ireland's Boat. I did not realize he was cracking a smile at me until after I processed the shot.
